Suspected terrorists last night launched an attack on innocent citizens in London, killing six people and injuring 48 others.
The terrorists numbering three, as confirmed by the police, began the attack by ramming a van into pedestrians on the busy London Bridge. They disembarked afterwards, and ran across the bridge to the Borough Market on the other side.
In the market, they moved into restaurants where several people were having drinks and dinner and started stabbing them with knives.
Apparently, the prompt response of the London Police minimised the casualty figure considerably. The attackers began to strike at about 10:08 pm. Eight minutes later, police gunshots could be heard around the vicinity.
All three attackers, according to Mark Rowley of the London Metropolitan Police, were gunned down and are dead.
The London attack came less than two weeks after a terrorist detonated an Improvised Explosive Device at a packed musical concert in the city of Manchester. The attack killed 22 people and injured 116.
