Some youths under the aegis of All Middle Belt Youth Forum (AMBYF) have dissociated themselves from the 3-month quit order given to Nigerians of Igbo extraction by the Coalition of Northern Youths to leave the northern part of the country.
The group through a statement released by its national leader, Aluh Moses and National Secretary, Mr. Andzayi Jonathan condemned the action of the Northern Youths Coalition, describing it as a deliberate attempt at disuniting the country.
“We condemn in very strong terms, the so-called Kaduna Declaration by Northern Youths Coalition in its entirety, as it is a deliberate act of driving a wedge between northerners and easterners,” Moses said.
“That the Middle Belt region is not part of the Northern region. Hence the All Middle Belt Youth Forum distances itself and the entire Middle Belt region from such obnoxious declaration,” he added.
The group further urged the Northern Youths Coalition to immediately retract the quit order in the interest of national peace and security.
