Fire has gutted the headquarters of a Sierra Leonean opposition party, the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP) after petrol bombs were allegedly hurled into the building on Tuesday morning.
According to the outspoken leader of the party, Mohammed Kamaraimba Mansaray, the petrol bombs were thrown into their offices located in the central part of Freetown in the early hours of Tuesday.
Mansaray who was released from detention on June 7, 2017 after a Magistrate Court granted him bail for gun- related crimes, broke away from the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) and founded the ADP in 2015.
Although the police authorities are yet to comment on the development, reports indicate that adjourning buildings and offices to the ADP headquarters were unaffected by the attack.
