The Federal Government has for the second time in three weeks cancelled the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting scheduled to hold on Wednesday.
Announcing the cancellation, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed said the meeting would not hold today to give Ministers adequate time to prepare documents for the meeting following the Eid-el-Kabir holidays.
Penultimate week, President Muhammadu Buhari had cancelled the meeting in order to receive the reports from the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo-led committee that probed the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Olushola Oke.
Since he returned from his 103-day medical vacation in London on August 19, President Buhari has presided over the FEC meeting only once.
