There was panic in Mgbosimiri, the Agip axis of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital as a group of gunmen attacked the community in the wee hours of Monday, killing 10 persons in the process.
The incident which happened at about 4.00a.m. left a couple dead after they sustained gunshot wounds while several others who were injured during the raid are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals across the state.
Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni said the reason for the deadly attack was still unknown as details of the killings were still sketchy.
