Daredevil kidnappers on Monday afternoon abducted the Board Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Muhammed Mahmood and his daughter along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
They were reportedly kidnapped around Katari, a village located few kilometres from Zuba, an Abuja suburb while travelling from Kaduna to Abuja while the driver conveying them on the journey was killed.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, Yakubu Sabo confirmed the incident, adding that the force was working on getting more details on the incident and would release a statement at the appropriate time.
