At least 20 persons have been confirmed dead with about 40 more critically injured after Boko Haram suicide bombers detonated Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) at a viewing centre in Konduga, Borno State.
Reports say the suicide bombers, a male and female, detonated their IEDs at the viewing center located opposite a clinic in Mandarari ward in Konduga Local Government Area at about 9:15 pm.
However, another female suicide bomber whose explosive devise failed to detonate at the scene was immediately apprehended and handed over to officials of the Nigerian Army.
Due to the severity of the incident, the casualty figure is expected to rise.
