At least 41 people have died of Lassa fever in parts of Nigeria since the beginning of 2020, the Federal Government has confirmed.
This was disclosed on Tuesday by the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire during a press briefing at the ministry’s secretariat in Abuja.
Two health professionals were among the 41 deaths recorded.
He also said that there were at least 258 confirmed cases recorded across 19 states in the country.
He advised Nigerians to practice good hygiene and protect their foods from rat contamination.
