Former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II arrived in Lagos on Friday night from Nasarawa State via Abuja.
He departed Awe in Nasarawa State with the Kaduna State Governor, Nasiru El-Rufai earlier in the day. His plane eventually left the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja at 10:47pm.
His departure from Nasarawa came after Justice Anwuli Chikere of a Federal high court in Abuja granted an interim order releasing him from his detention. The Judge fixed March 26 for hearing of the substantive suit.
Sanusi was dethroned on Monday as Emir by the Kano State government which accused him of insubordination.
