Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, on Tuesday, signed the Oyo State Security Network Agency Bill 2020 for the establishment of Amotekun Corps into law.
The governor signed the bill in style as he was clad in a leopard skin outfit. Leopard is the English name for Amotekun which is also the logo of the security outfit.
Also clad in the significant leopard skin outfit were the Deputy Governor, Rauf Olaniyan, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin as well as other top government officials.
The Oyo State House of Assembly had on March 3 passed the bill to the governor for assent after a public hearing and after the bill scaled third reading.
Makinde during the signing said : “History has been made as Oyo State joins other southwest states to have the Àmọ̀tẹ́kùn law in force.”
