Nigeria has recorded 288 new cases of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, bringing the total infections in the country to 44,129.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this via its official twitter page.

Of the 44,129 cases reported, 20,633 have been discharged while 896 deaths have been recorded.
The novel coronavirus has killed at least 689,758 people worldwide and 18,109,730 have been recorded globally. 10,505,100 have recovered from the virus.
