EndSARS protesters in Rivers State have stormed the streets of Port Harcourt, the state capital this Tuesday morning, shunning Governor Nyesom Wike’s directive.
The Governor had in a statement issued on Monday by the Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Paulinus Nsirim, said that since the police had scrapped the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), there was “no need for any form of protest against a unit of the Police Force that no longer exists.”
The youths began their procession carrying placards and chanting “End SARS” before converging opposite the Pleasure Park on Aba Road, Port Harcourt.
