Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have evicted the family of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, from a residence in Abuja following a forfeiture order.
The anti-graft agency reportedly took over the property after sealing it, restricting access and enforcing the court-backed forfeiture. The action is linked to ongoing legal proceedings concerning alleged corruption and financial crimes.
Malami, however, has criticised the move, alleging that the eviction was carried out despite pending court processes over the property.
The development marks a significant escalation in the legal battle involving the former minister, who has faced multiple investigations and charges in recent months.
