President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, urging citizens to embrace sacrifice, compassion, unity, and peaceful coexistence.
In a Sallah message released ahead of the celebration, the President said Eid-el-Kabir reflects the virtues of faith, obedience, and selflessness demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim.
Tinubu called on Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace, national unity, and wisdom for leaders, while also encouraging support for the less privileged and vulnerable members of society.
The President said the economic reforms introduced by his administration were difficult but necessary for rebuilding the country and securing long-term prosperity.
According to him, the reforms have begun yielding positive results, including improved economic stability and increased investor confidence capable of driving job creation and growth.
Tinubu also acknowledged ongoing security challenges in parts of the country, assuring Nigerians that the government remained committed to defeating terrorism, banditry, and other forms of criminality.
He praised the efforts of security agencies, including the recent elimination of a wanted ISIS leader, while assuring affected communities that they had not been abandoned.
The President reiterated his administration’s commitment to investing in security, infrastructure, agriculture, and human capital development to improve the lives of citizens.
He wished Muslims a peaceful and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration and prayed for continued peace and progress in Nigeria.
