Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes has been banned for 10 matches by FIFA for his role in post-match clashes following Argentina’s 1-0 defeat to Spain in the 2026 World Cup final.
Team-mate Nahuel Molina received a seven-match ban for his involvement in the altercation, including allegedly striking Spain captain Rodri during the celebrations.
FIFA also fined the Argentine Football Association $321,000 over disciplinary breaches, including discriminatory conduct by supporters, team misconduct and non-sporting demonstrations.
