Nigerian-born Wycombe Wanderer’s striker, Adebayo Akinfenwa has declared that he is ready to take on American heavyweight boxer, Deontay Wilder in a top notch title fight on any terms.
This is even as Wilder is still entangled in a dramatic game of nerves with another Nigerian-born British heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua over a mega-bucks four-belt unification bout.
The 36-year-old Akinfenwa, who is regarded as ‘the heaviest striker in world football’ said he is eager to give Wilder a run for his money in the ring.
Akinfenwa is known for his powerful frame which earned him the fitting nickname, ‘The Beast’. He recently floated his own clothing brand tagged ‘Beast Mode On’.
The former Swansea City, Northampton and Wimbledon striker is still going strong in English football’s fourth tier despite entering the twilight of his career, during which he was once called up to the Super Eagles.
Last year, he was nominated for English League Two Player of the Year while he was thrilled to retain his crown as the strongest-rated player on FIFA19’s Ultimate Team with a rating of 97.
