West Indies Cricket legend, Brian Lara has been taken to hospital in India after suffering chest pains.
According to reports, the 50-year-old who has been commentating on the ICC World Cup for Star Sports was admitted to Mumbai’s Global Hospital in Parel, on Tuesday.
A source told the Times of India that Lara, who is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest batsmen of all time has been complaining of unease.
“He is fine and there’s nothing much to worry about. It was just a minor scare because of some uneasiness in the chest he complained about,” the source said.
The 50-year-old Trinidadian holds several cricketing records, including the highest individual score in first-class cricket with 501 not out for Warwickshire against Durham in 1994.
He also holds the record for the highest individual score in a Test innings after scoring 400 not out against England in Antigua in 2004.
