The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal made by Timi Alaibe challenging the candidacy of Duoye Diri as the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 2019 election in Bayelsa State.
The Supreme Court dismissed the case on the ground that it was a pre-election matter.
Alaibe had filed the suit claiming that he was the right candidate of the PDP. He had earlier lost similar suits at the Federal High Court and the Court of Appeal.
