High Chief (Dr) Oscar Omoefe Itimi is a highly resourceful alternative medicine practitioner who has dedicated over 35 years of his life to the practice and development of this type of healthcare.  He is  a passionate advocate and promoter of the use of natural herbs in treating various forms of ailments.

His practice which began in his childhood, is focused on providing effective traditional solutions to a range of challenging health conditions. High Chief Itimi is a specialist in cases such as barrenness, hypertension, diabetes, venereal disease and typhoid fever .

This famous and highly acclaimed traditional healer comes from Okpe-Isoko Town in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State. However, his practice is based in the Ijanikin area of Lagos. His  foundation in this line of healthcare services is essentially rooted in traditional knowledge. However, he had formal education up to secondary school level. So, he has both the Primary School Leaving Certificate and the West African  Secondary School  Certificate.

Having lived in Lagos State for over 25 years, he maintains  good and cordial relationships with traditional rulers and communities within Lagos and its environs.

 Chief Itimi holds several prestigious chieftaincy titles, reflecting his standing as a community leader. His titles  include Omonotomo of Okpe-Isoko Land, Bobaseyi of Ijanikin and Bobagunte of Imasayi. He is actively involved in community and professional associations, serving as the Chairman of  Isoko/Okugbe, Ijanikin Branch and a member of Rotary International Otto/Ijanikin Central. His leadership roles have h been formally recognized through multiple honours including the Selfless Service Award by the University of Ekiti State, the Delta Pillar of Development Award by Isoko Mirror Newspaper  and the title of Ambassador of Peace by Ijanikin Youth. High Chief Itimi is happily married and blessed with children and grand children.

High Chief (Dr) Oscar Omoefe Itimi’s passion for the practice and development of alternative medicine is immeasurable. His efforts focus on advancing the use of natural herbs, providing healing, and fostering community well-being across Nigeria. His unwavering dedication inspires transformative change in traditional medicine.

It was in recognition of his Sterling Contribution to Nation Building in the Sphere of Alternative Medicine that High Chief (Dr) Oscar Omoefe Itimi was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Nigerian Achievement Award.
