Senator Mpigi Barinada, who represented the Rivers South East Senatorial District in the Senate, has died.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Works, Akin Alabi, confirmed the development in a tribute posted on his official X account on Thursday.
“Good night my dear friend. Rest in Peace, Senator Mpigi Barinada. Sen Mpigi represented Rivers South East in the Senate,” Alabi wrote.
Until his death, Barinada served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, where he oversaw legislative matters relating to infrastructure and public works.
