President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the recent attacks in Maiduguri, Borno State, describing the incidents as deeply disturbing and a desperate attempt by террорист elements to spread fear.

In a statement, the President expressed grief over the loss of lives and extended sympathy to those injured, while affirming solidarity with residents of the state.

Tinubu said the attacks were the “final desperate and frantic attempts” by terrorists under sustained pressure from Nigeria’s armed forces and security agencies across various operational theatres.

He assured Nigerians that the government would intensify efforts to eliminate criminal elements nationwide, stressing that no part of the country would serve as a safe haven for terrorists.

The President also commended the military for successfully repelling coordinated attacks on security positions in the state, praising the courage and resilience of troops and civilian task forces.

He disclosed that he had recently approved additional military equipment and operational support following a high-level security meeting, noting that the deployment process was already underway.

Tinubu further directed security chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri to oversee operations, while mandating emergency response agencies to ensure proper treatment for the injured.

“There is no place in Nigeria where terrorists will find safety. We will locate them, confront them, and completely defeat them,” the President said, adding that the country would not succumb to fear.
