Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) South-South National Vice Chairman, Dan Orbih, has died at the age of 64.

Orbih reportedly died on Monday, August 31, 2026. His family confirmed his death but did not disclose the cause.

The veteran Edo politician, who previously served as Edo State PDP chairman, was a close ally of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

Wike, former Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki and the PDP have mourned Orbih, with the party ordering its flags to be flown at half-mast for three days in his honour.

Orbih is survived by his wife, Florence, children and siblings.
