One of America’s National Football League (NFL) teams, the Washington Redskins on Tuesday, announced the signing of Nico Marley, grandson of Reggae Music legend, Bob Marley to their 90-man roster.
At 5’8 and 200 pounds, the Redskins signed Nico as an undrafted free agent from Tulane after he worked out for them as a tryout player in their rookie mini-camp last weekend.
Nico, who played at Tulane where he was credited with 48.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks and four intersections over 48 games, is believed to have gotten the deal because of his lineage.
Son to former University of Miami linebacker, Rohan Marley, Nico may not be able to stick with the Redskins in the regular season because he is undersized and 30-40 pounds lighter for players in the linebacker position.
