The Labour Party (LP) on Friday took a swipe at the Federal Government for what it described as its complicity in the return, reinstatement and consequent disappearance of fugitive Assistant Director in the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina.
The National Chairman of the party, Dr. Mike Omotoso at a news conference in Abuja said that since the current administration brought Maina back into the federal civil service, they definitely know his whereabouts and therefore must immediately arrest and prosecute him.
“You will recall that Maina was sacked by the last administration and placed on Wanted List. We are calling on the federal government to arrest and prosecute Maina because they know where he is.
“They were the ones that brought him back and reinstated him, they should also bring him out now, arrest and prosecute him,” Omotoso said.
