Former Minister of Special Duties and Inter- Governmental Relations and a presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN) says his ambition is not a do-or-die affair but one taken in the best interest of Nigeria.

Turaki, while formally presenting his letter of intent to contest the 2019 Presidential poll to the PDP National Working Committee on Monday, boasted that he could match President Muhammadu Buhari’s much talked-about integrity.

“I can match President Buhari’s integrity for integrity and I have what he does not have: I have education, I have knowledge, I have the fear of God, which he doesn’t have.

“Even if you have a good sales team, you need a good product. And I am that product.  I can assure you that I am not made in ‘Taiwan,” Turaki said.

Accompanied by his campaign’s Director- General, Boni Haruna, Deputy Director-General (North), Colonel Habibu Shuaibu (rtd), former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda and erstwhile Chief of Army Staff, General Ishaya Bamaiyi (rtd), Turaki advised Nigerians not to forget  the gains recorded by the PDP which he said have all been frittered away by Buhari’s government in just three years.

In his response, the National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus pledged the commitment of the NWC to zero tolerance for imposition and impunity, adding that no money bag could alter the stand of the party on fairness and transparency.
