The senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye has put paid to insinuations that he is planning to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Melaye, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Aviation had reportedly kicked against his alleged disenfranchisement during the governorship primary of the PDP in Kogi State. 

The media had been awash with news of his planned defection after he rejected PDP’s offer of the position of Director- General of the campaign of the candidate who won the primary for the governorship election in Kogi State after his loss at the primaries. 

 In a tweet on Sunday night, the lawmaker said only fools and people with a degree in stupidity will leave PDP for APC, assuring that the APC would be defeated in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State. In his words:

“Only compound fools and people with degree in stupidity will leave PDP for APC. APC will be defeated in Kogi State,” Senator Melaye tweeted.
