Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Aliyu Detti Yako has been declared winner of Saturday’s rerun election in Kiru/ Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano state.
He defeated the former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin.
Yako, a former Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, polled 48,601 votes to beat Jibrin who got 13,587 votes.
