
Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday held a closed-door meeting with the nation’s service chiefs. The meeting took place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
At the meeting, Buhari charged the Service Chiefs to re-double their efforts as their best has not been good enough in overcoming the security challenges threatening the country.
National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (Rtd.), made the disclosure to journalists after the security meeting.
The President charged the various aspects of the security architecture to work together to solve the nation’s security challenges.
Monguno said the President also charged the office of the NSA to meet with governors of the Northwest states and that of Niger State, for briefing and strategic organisation of a response to the banditry problem in their respective states.
