The All Progressives Congress has postponed its House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections to Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The development was announced in a statement issued on Thursday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, previously announced dates for the Senate, State House of Assembly, governorship and presidential primaries remain unchanged.
Under the revised timetable, the Senate primary election will hold on Monday, May 18, while the State House of Assembly primaries are scheduled for Wednesday, May 20.
The governorship primary election will take place on Thursday, May 21, while the presidential primary is slated for Saturday, May 23, 2026.
