The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the names of candidates who emerged victorious in the party’s House of Representatives and State House of Assembly primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Monday by the state APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, the party announced 24 candidates for the House of Representatives and 40 candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Among those who secured House of Representatives tickets are James Faleke for Ikeja, Mudashiru Obasa for Agege, Babajimi Benson for Ikorodu, Muftau Egberongbe for Apapa, and Fuad Laguda for Surulere I.

Others include Lanre Okunnola for Surulere II, Fuad Atanda-Lawal for Eti-Osa, Kolade Alabi for Somolu, Bolaji Robert for Ojo, and Wale Raji for Epe.

Olabisi Adebanjo, who emerged for Alimosho Federal Constituency, was the only female candidate among the 24 House of Representatives nominees.

For the Lagos State House of Assembly primaries, Mojisola Meranda won the Apapa I ticket, while Barakat Bakare-Odunuga emerged for Surulere I and Damilola Ayinde-Marshall secured the Surulere II ticket.

Other successful assembly aspirants include Gbolahan Yishawu for Eti-Osa II, Mayowa Alakija for Oshodi-Isolo II, Toyin Gafar for Ikorodu I, Moshood Aro for Ikorodu II, and Adedamola Kasumu for Ikeja I.

The APC said the primaries were conducted successfully as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections.
