Barcelona Football Club and Argentina talismanic forward, Lionel Messi has described the Super Eagles of Nigeria as one of the compact African teams which are always difficult to predict.
Messi, who will be hoping to end his World Cup journey with a trophy, having come close in 2014, where the team narrowly lost 1-0 to Germany in the final will be aiming to help the Albi Celeste side continue their winning streak over the Nigerian team when both sides clash in the Russia 2018 World Cup tournament.
Argentina will face Nigeria in their last Group match, a fixture the five-time Balon d’Or winner says will not be a walk over for the Argentine team which he captains.
“We don’t know so much about Nigeria but the African teams are normally compact, tough and strong. So it will be no walkover,” Messi said.
