Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday terminated the appointment of the Director General of the Department of State Security Services (DSS), Lawal Musa Daura with immediate effect.
The news of Daura’s termination was contained in a tweet released by Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the Vice President.
“AgP Yemi Osinbajo has directed the termination of the appointment of the DG of the DSS, Mr. Lawal Musa Daura. Mr. Daura has been directed to hand over to the most senior officer of the State Security Service until further notice,” Akande tweeted.
Daura’s sack is coming hours after masked security operatives of the Department State Services (DSS), blocked all entry and exit of the National Assembly Complex, preventing lawmakersfrom having access into the chambers.
