Newly sworn-in Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has made his first appointments.
In a statement released in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital on Tuesday, Fayemi announced Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Biodun Omoleye as his Chief of Staff while Mr. Yinka Oyebode is to serve as his Chief Press Secretary.
None of the new appointees is however new in office. Oyebanji, a former university lecturer once served as Chief of Staff during the administration of Otunba Niyi Adebayo and the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning during Fayemi’s first term.
Omoleye, a former university administrator and ex-chairman of Ijero Local Government Area had also served as Special Adviser to Fayemi while Oyebode, who is a seasoned journalist served as Chief Press Secretary to Fayemi during his first term.
Oyebode later served as Fayemi’s Special Adviser on Media when he was Minister of Mines and Steel Development.
