The House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission has summoned the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio.
The committee issued the summons after the former acting Managing Director of NDDC, Dr Joy Nunieh, made a series of allegations against him, at her appearance before the committee via Zoom on Friday afternoon
Security operatives had surrounded Nunieh’s home yesterday and it took the intervention of the Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Wike to end the stand-off
Yesterday’s invasion had prevented Nunieh from testifying physically to the Committee.
