Mr. Ayotunde Fatunase is a distinguished agribusinesss strategist, a livestock development authority, and one of Nigeria’s most respected voices in agricultural transformation. With decades of impact in animal health, food production, international trade facilitation, and agribusiness policy, he has strengthened agricultural value chains and expanded global partnerships that continue to benefit farmers, industry stakeholders, and the national economy.
He began his academic journey at St. Thomas Primary School and Aquinas College, Akure, before earning a Second Class Upper degree in Agriculture (Animal Health) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) in 1994. He further deepened his expertise with a Master’s in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos in 2011. He later earned an MBA from the University of Lagos in 2018 and has attended over 50 national and international conferences, continually strengthening his professional development.
As Group Head at Biobiologics International Limited, he has contributed to positioning the company as one of Nigeria’s largest suppliers of single vitamins to the food and feed industry. His leadership also drives youth-focused capacity-building programmes and the establishment of training hubs designed to equip young animal scientists with globally relevant skills in nutrition and agribusiness.
A major highlight of his career is his spearheading the organization of annual trade delegations to the International Product and Processing Exposition (IPPE) in Atlanta, Georgia. This initiative was executed in direct partnership with the Agricultural Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria. This sustained, decade-long collaboration was instrumental in establishing strategic tripartite partnerships linking Nigerian farmers, American technology providers, and Asian industry stakeholders. These relationships drove over $500 million USD in sales of agricultural machinery, feed additives, and other key products.
Mr. Fatunase is a member of the International Law Association—where his specialization in cabotage law supported key international trade dispute resolutions and franchise acquisitions. A Registered Animal Scientist, Ayotunde is a committed member of the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science and the Nigerian Society of Animal Science. He has also supported major agricultural transformation initiatives with the Ondo and Ekiti State Governments, driving value chain development, livestock productivity, and animal by-product optimization for domestic use and export.
Mr. Ayotunde Fatunase is married to Mrs. Oluwaronke Fatunase, a seasoned school administrator and mathematics specialist, and their union is blessed with children.
It was in recognition of his Sterling Contribution to Nation Building in the Sphere of Agriculture and Food Production that Mr. Ayotunde Fatunase was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Nigerian Achievement Award.
