Former Military Administrator of Lagos State and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammad Buba Marwa (rtd) says the resignation of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar from the APC will stabilize the party to enable it bring back the lost glory of Nigeria.
While speaking with newsmen in Yola on Wednesday, Marwa said Atiku’s exit will not affect the party’s chances in the 2019 elections, stressing that the APC which could not be subdued by another party will not be ruffled by a single individual.
Marwa who hails from Adamawa State just like Atiku, said he and other stakeholders of the APC in the state will do everything within their means to deliver the state, particularly in the governorship and presidential elections.
“No political party would like to lose someone like the former Vice President. We urge our party supporters to remain resolute and avoid money bag politics,” Marwa said.
Marwa, under the platform his group, the Marwa Support Group also went further to endorse President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term in office.
According to him, there is no better candidate than President Buhari whom he said has recorded massive achievements in the areas of security, fight against corruption, improvements in electricity generation and supply as well as economic diversification in just two years in office.
