President Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina has disclosed that prominent members of the country’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress that have been accused of corruption are not being tried because of lack of evidence.

The Special Adviser who was speaking as a radio show guest on Sweet F.M. in Abeokuta said that the President’s corruption crackdown was not partial. He also said that there is no immunity for members of the opposition party who defected to the APC: “The onus lies on he who alleges to also prove. The fact is that any PDP member who crosses to APC is not provide automatic shield. Whoever is indicted will be prosecuted.”

Adesina also spoke on the President’s stand on other issues such as the arrested members of the judiciary, diversification of the economy and the importation of rice. He claimed the importation of the commodity was still legal and on diversification, that Nigeria had reached a stage where we either “diversify or die.”
