A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Hon. Ahmed Sadiq has faulted the recent defection of the chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Hon. Mustapha Adamu Denze from the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to the ruling party.
Sadiq had on Thursday stormed the APC secretariat in Gwagwalada with his supporters to register his dissatisfaction with the manner in which the APGA member defected to the party.
He maintained that the defection was supposed to begin at the grassroots level and not at the state level as was the case of the defected Gwagwalada chairman.
Sadiq, who is an aspirant for the Abuja South Federal Constituency said the party would be ready to welcome new members but cautioned the APC leadership in the FCT against taking negative decisions that would cause disharmony and disagreement among its members.
