The National Chairman of the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC), Buba Galadima says the cordial relationship currently existing between President Muhammadu Buhari and Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu was as a result of his efforts.
Galadima, who stated this during an interview with Interview Magazine said he was principally responsible for the alliance between Buhari’s Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) against the wishes of the president.
“Buhari was the one against the alliance with Tinubu and I don’t want to say anything. Let Buhari deny what I have said. I was for it and I organized it and wrote a memo that even produced a candidate for the vice presidency, this same Osinbajo,” Galadima said.
Galadima hinted that President Buhari might have even penciled down another running mate in the form that was to have been submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He maintained that Buhari would be floored if he re-contests in 2019, adding: “If he was raising cattle in Daura, I wouldn’t bother about him. I’m criticizing him because he’s the President and he’s not doing very well.”
Galadima also did not spare the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, describing him as a latter-day Buharist who is bent on hijacking the ship of governance.
