President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said he is not intimidated by opposition voices, describing them as “noise-makers” who do not respect the rule of law.
The President made the remarks on Thursday at the State House, Abuja, during a meeting with leaders of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors drawn from the 36 states of the federation. The delegation was led by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who serves as Director-General of the group.
Tinubu stated that his political experience, including the 2023 primaries and general election, had prepared him for current challenges, insisting he would not be distracted or pressured out of office.
He reaffirmed his commitment to democratic principles, stressing the importance of respecting court orders and upholding the rule of law, regardless of political interests. According to him, national unity and a shared vision for progress remain central to his administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.
The President also urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain united and resist forces opposed to national transformation.
In a veiled criticism of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Tinubu questioned the outcomes of past privatisation efforts, particularly in the steel sector, arguing that some initiatives failed to deliver expected results.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to governance and development, assuring supporters that he would deliver on campaign promises and not abandon national responsibilities.
Tinubu also disclosed that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors have been mobilised to support the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
