Michael Essien’s wife, Akosua Puni has reportedly packed out of their London home over the ex-footballer’s alleged extra-marital affair with Gambian actress, Princess Shyngle.According to reports, Akosun Puni, who has publicly expressed her anger that the former Chelsea and Black Stars midfielder cheated on her with the actress may soon start divorce proceedings.

Recall that Shyngle had during an interview with Delay revealed that she has had about seven ex-boyfriends with Essien as one of them. The curvy actress made the shocking revelation while responding to a question about her claim that 99.9 percent of her previous boyfriends could not satisfy her in bed.

Although the actress did not give the timeline of the relationship, her admission that she once kissed Essien at the Checkers Pub in Accra, the Ghanaian capital was a pointer that their relationship was after Essien’s marriage to Akosua, which is about five years old.

Essien is however not the only Ghanaian footballer who is having marital problems as Asamoah Gyan seems to be facing the same plight. Gyan recently filed a suit at a high court in Accra seeking to leave his marriage of five years.
