Preferred governorship candidate of Ogun State governor, Adekunle Akinlade, has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Allied People’s Movement (APM).
Mr Akinlade lost to Dapo Abiodun at the APC governorship primary in Ogun State.
Mr Akinlade’s defection is coming few days to Independent National Electoral Commission’s deadline of governorship candidates’ substitution. Akinlade had lost the governorship ticket of the APC to Dapo Abiodun despite all efforts put in place by Amosun to make him secure the APC governorship ticket.
