The Nigerian Senate on Thursday confirmed the appointment of Professor Bolaji Owasanoye as the substantive Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The lawmakers also confirmed the appointment of eight other persons as board members of the ICPC.
Among those confirmed were Grace Chinda from Delta State, Okolo Titus from Enugu State, Obiora Igwedebia from Anambra State, Olubukola Balogun from Lagos State and Justice Adamu Bello from Katsina State.
Others were Yahaya Dauda (Nasarawa), Hannatu Muhammed (Jigawa) and Abdullahi Saidu (Niger). The Senate also confirmed the appointment of Justice Uwani Abba as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
