The United States has launched another round of airstrikes on Iran, targeting military command centres, missile and drone launch sites, maritime assets and air defence systems in a bid to further weaken Tehran’s military capabilities.

The strikes, the 10th consecutive night of attacks, followed President Donald Trump’s pledge to retaliate for the deaths of three US service members in recent Iranian attacks.

Iran responded by claiming it struck two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz and targeted US military assets in Bahrain and Kuwait. President Masoud Pezeshkian described the confrontation as a “full-scale war” with the United States.

Despite the escalating conflict, Iran said diplomatic contacts with Washington were continuing through intermediaries, while commercial shipping remained active in the Strait of Hormuz.

The latest hostilities have heightened concerns over regional security and global energy supplies, with reports of missile and drone interceptions in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain as tensions continue to rise.
