The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus says the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will soon experience what he describes as “defection tsunami.”

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday against the backdrop of the defection of some of the party’s members in some states like Kogi and Adamawa, Secondus said it was better for the PDP to go into the 2019 elections with individuals who the party was sure would work for its success.

A former Special Adviser on Political Matters to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak had on Saturday led 16 other chieftains and supporters of the PDP to defect to the APC in Adamawa State.

Gulak had claimed that they decided to leave the main opposition party because of alleged impunity and promised to work toward ensuring that PDP was finally buried in Adamawa State.
