Former governor of Ondo State and presidential candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has withdrawn from the 2019 presidential race.
Announcing his withdrawal from the race while meeting with party faithfuls and leaders from the 18 local government areas of Ondo State on Thursday, Mimiko said he would now be contesting the Ondo Central Senatorial District in 2019.
“I took the decision in the ultimate interest of our party, the Zenith Labour Party, Ondo State and the country. I will now be running as the candidate of the ZLP for Ondo Central Senatorial District next year,” Mimiko said.
