According to the list released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday, Nigeria’s February 16 presidential elections will have a total of 72 candidates. One of the parties,the Social Democratic Party ( SDP ) has no presidential candidate as a result of litigation. However, INEC says the party can still be part of the contest.
The nation’s electoral body released a list which contains the names and qualifications of all the presidential aspirants and their running mates. The list also includes aspirants for the Senatorial and House of Representatives positions.
