Ten more political parties have joined forces with the Coalition of Political Parties (CUPP) to frustrate the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Chairman of CUPP, Olagunsoye Oyinlola who announced this while addressing the new parties during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday said CUPP endorsed Atiku after he satisfied some criteria.

He said the criteria include national and international acceptability, financial capacity, his political party spread, leadership capacity, experience, capacity to rebuild the economy, secure the country and unite all Nigerians.

Oyinlola reminded members of the Coalition that its sole purpose remains to unite all Nigerians and ensure that the APC government is kicked out of office in order to rescue the country from misrule, insecurity and bad governance.

“The Nigerian people are suffering. The APC are bereft of ideas and they have not been humble enough to seek help. We have 13.5 million out of school children in the world as confirmed by UNICEF.

“As bad as the situation is, we should know that it will get worse unless we resolve to work together to unseat this clueless government,” the former Osun State governor said.

He informed the gathering that although there have been attempts to ensure that the coalition collapses before the February election, the coalition has been waxing stronger, thus becoming a threat to the government in power.

He further disclosed that six more applications from other political parties were still being considered, adding that if they scale the threshold, they would be admitted into the Coalition which currently comprises 55 political parties.

Some of the parties that signed the MoU to endorse Atiku include United Patriots, (UP), Save Nigerian Congress (SNC), Peoples Coalition Party (PCP), Reform and Advancement Party (RAP), Alliance of Social Democrats (ASD) and We The People (WP).
